Terms of Service

Last updated Nov 1, 2026

These terms govern website builds, app development projects and the Hosting + SEO plan sold by Acricom ("we", "us") to you, the customer. By placing an order you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@acricom.com before you order.

1. What You Are Buying

A build package is a one-time purchase of a designed, written and built website, including the brand elements described for that package (logo, color palette and type pairing). The page count and features are those listed on the pricing page when you order. The Hosting + SEO plan is a separate, required monthly subscription that starts at checkout.

2. Timelines

The build clock starts when payment has cleared and your brief is complete. Most first previews are delivered within a few hours, and we commit to delivering the first preview within 2 business days. Each revision round is returned within 2 business days. Time spent waiting on information, content or approvals from you does not count against these timelines. "Hours" refers to the first preview, not to a launched site.

3. Revisions: Exactly 2 Rounds

Every build package includes exactly 2 revision rounds, and no more. A revision round is a single written list of changes submitted through your dashboard, which we apply together and return as an updated preview. Changes sent separately during one round are combined into that round. Once your included rounds are used, further changes before launch require purchasing an extra revision round ($249 per round) or approving the site as it stands. Our system enforces this limit; staff cannot add free rounds.

Revisions refine the agreed scope. Requests that add pages, features or functionality beyond your package are quoted separately as add-ons.

4. Approval and Launch

When you approve the site in your dashboard, we provision your server and launch. Approval ends the revision phase. After launch, content edits are covered by the monthly edit allowance in your plan.

5. Payments and Refunds

  • Build fees and add-ons are charged in full at checkout. The Hosting + SEO plan is billed monthly in advance.
  • If you cancel before your first preview is delivered, we refund the build fee in full.
  • If you cancel after the first preview is delivered but before you approve the site, we refund 50% of the build fee.
  • Once you approve the site for launch, the build fee is non-refundable.
  • Extra revision rounds are non-refundable once work on that round begins.
  • Monthly plan fees are not prorated or refunded for partial months.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

6. The Hosting + SEO Plan

Your site runs on a dedicated server we provision and manage on DigitalOcean. The plan covers that server, SSL, backups, uptime monitoring, security updates, the SEO work and content-edit allowance listed for your plan, and a monthly report. SEO is ongoing work, and we do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic or results, because search engines control those. We will not use practices that violate search engine guidelines.

If a monthly payment fails, we will notify you and retry. If the plan stays unpaid for 14 days, we may suspend the site until payment is made.

7. Cancellation

Template build: 12-month commitment. The Template build is priced low because it comes with a 12-month Business plan ($129 per month). You agree to that commitment with a separate checkbox at checkout. If you cancel before the 12 months are up, the monthly fees for the remaining months of the term are due. We will tell you the exact amount before charging it. Optional monthly add-ons are not part of the commitment and can be cancelled at any time. If we end the service or fail to provide it as described, you owe nothing for the remaining months.

Church build: 12-month commitment. The Church build comes with a 12-month Basic plan ($59 per month), on the same terms as the Template commitment above: you agree to it with a separate checkbox at checkout, the monthly fees for any remaining months of the term are due if you cancel early (we will tell you the exact amount before charging it), optional monthly add-ons are not part of the commitment, and you owe nothing for the remaining months if we end the service or fail to provide it as described.

Apart from the Template and Church commitments above, you can cancel the Hosting + SEO plan at any time from the billing portal or by writing to us. Your site stays online until the end of the paid month. On request within 30 days of cancellation, we will provide a static export of your pages and your brand files. After that, the server and its backups are deleted.

8. Ownership

Once the build fee is paid, you own your domain, your content, your logo and brand assets created for you, and the final design of your pages. We keep ownership of our underlying templates, tools and code libraries, and you receive a license to use them for your site. We may show your site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

9. Your Responsibilities

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you send us (text, images, logos) and that your site will not be used for unlawful content. You are responsible for the accuracy of your business information and any claims your site makes.

10. Liability

Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes do not apply to a build already paid for, and we will email Hosting + SEO customers at least 30 days before a change that affects their plan.

12. App Development Projects

Desktop and mobile app projects are not sold through online checkout and are not covered by sections 1 to 7. Each app project starts with a scoping call and a written scope with a fixed quote. The written scope sets out the features, platforms, milestones and payment schedule for that project, and work starts only after you accept it. Changes to the agreed scope are quoted separately before we do them.

Where the scope includes App Store, Google Play or other store submission, we prepare and submit the app from your own developer accounts. Account and certificate fees are paid by you, and we cannot guarantee that Apple, Google or any other store will approve the app, though we will make reasonable changes to address their review feedback. Once the project is paid in full, you own the app's source code, subject to the license terms of any open-source components it uses.

App care is optional and billed monthly, from $299/month. It covers operating system and dependency updates, bug fixes and store resubmissions as described in your quote. Its notice period and cancellation terms are set out in your written quote.
